World Spay Day Commemoration

World Spay day was commemorated on February 26th, and to play our role in the significance of this day, ALL CREATURES Lilongwe organized a two-day Spay and neuter mobile clinic in the Chinsapo area in Lilongwe. Chinsapo is a high density area with  mostly low income families so to offer this service is a big deal. This took place on February 23rd and 24th, from 8:00 am to around 4 pm.  People and their dogs gathered at the Chinsapo clinic in the early morning hours. This was a team effort by ALL CREATURES staff and volunteers.  There were three vets on hand to do the surgeries, three nurses and several staff helping around with anything from preparing the dogs for surgery, making sure there was organization and that things were moving smoothly.  All in all, it was a successful effort as more than 150 dogs were spayed and neutered.
